A Look at the Step-by-Step Process of Pipe Lining
Trenchless pipe lining is a quick and less disruptive way of rehabilitating pipes within residential or commercial properties. It offers the same performance as traditional pipe replacement but with fewer associated costs and is completed in a shorter timeline. Each and every phase of the plumbing repairs will be taken care of by our certified team at A.M. Plumbing & Rooter, but we’ll be glad to give you a step-by-step overview of how the process works.
Preparation
A video inspection will be conducted by your plumber in Murrieta, CA to determine the pipe’s condition and locate any obstructions or damages. This will then be followed by a thorough cleaning, often done with hydro jetting that can eliminate tree roots and other buildup in the line. This ensures the lining material will bond with the pipe’s interior. Another essential part of the prep work is measuring the length of the pipe that needs repair.
Pipe Lining Application
A flexible resin-saturated liner will now be inserted into the existing pipeline. This is done through a small access point instead of a large trench that could damage your landscaping. The liner is then inflated with air or water so that it fully conforms to the shape of the current pipe and begins to harden as it cures.
Curing
This usually takes several hours to a day. No water or other foreign materials must come in contact with the liner as it cures.
Final Inspection
Once the curing process is complete, another video inspection will confirm that the job has been properly carried out and the pipeline is again ready for use.
